Being   here   now

pansy on my deck

Life is a strange road, isn't it? Since August 2006, I've been working with the Tuscaloosa City School system as technology coordinator.

Being here now is nothing I ever envisioned, but I'm happiest in a salaried position of service rather than one that requires I demand payment for work. If I were independently wealthy, I would work for free. That doesn't mean I don't value my services, but rather that I just don't want to fool with money. I have fun working and helping other people and wish the whole needing money and paying for stuff thing would just go away. Wonder if that is indicative of a peasant/serf ancestry? Monastic ancestry "feels" more correct, but one assumes monks were acetic enough to have no decendents...

Underpinnings

“ When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know, the end result is tyranny and oppression no matter how holy the motives. ”

- Robert A. Heinlein
